"Everyday Grace"
We find our way if everyday,
We live it all by grace,
Humility will always see,
The strength to run the race.
But if our pride has been denied,
No doubt God will resist,
In every case and every place,
It’s how His grace is missed.
Be glad the love from up above,
Is there to turn us back,
So we can learn at every turn,
He’ll help us get on track.
Cooperate, don’t hesitate,
To humble down and know,
That grace so free is meant to be,
The thing that makes us grow.
It’s not the threat, though ne’er forget,
We reap just what we sow,
Don’t doubt it’s true and what we do,
Will manifest and show.
God’s Word is true but far too few,
Will by it be set free,
Though grace is real and all can feel,
What God has meant to be.
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:16, NLT)
We are invited by God to come boldly to the throne of grace. When should we answer this invitation? The answer is clear: when we need grace the most. There is no doubt we need God’s grace for everything He has called us to do and in facing every challenge of life. We need it in our relationships and all our interactions with others. We need it to overcome temptation and lay aside the weights that slow us down. We need it when we are discouraged and our hearts are breaking. When do we need It? Everyday! Get some!
Lord, give us Your grace, in Jesus’ name.
