"God's Plan"

God’s plan, you see, won’t always gee,

And how with what we pray,

And that is why, it is our cry,

Thy will be done, we say.

By that we mean whate’re we’ve seen,

It’s just our human view,

Okay to ask but then our task,

Is God’s own will to do.

Truth be told, it’s that control,

We surrender day to day,

Take up the cross, at any cost,

And find the narrow way.

His Spirit leads, He meets our needs,

And greater He within,

Than those we fight, we shine the light,

With all our Jesus kin.

The sad old road, the heavy load,

It tempts us to despair,

But walk we will with Jesus still,

And cast on Him our care.

The victory sweet, I will repeat,

Abundant life He gives,

Ours to know, and always grow,

‘Cause Christ within us lives.

His presence strong becomes our song,

We praise Him through it all,

No circumstance can steal the dance,

In spite of tears that fall.

So look up, friend, and now begin,

The journey calls your name,

And don’t look back, His love in fact,

Says you’ll never be the same.

“And this is the plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ- everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.” (Ephesians 1:10-11, NLT)

God’s ultimate plan is that everything in all God’s creation will submit to the authority of Jesus. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus as Lord. Until then, we live in the inspiration of our ultimate inheritance. We are those who recognize God’s choice of us and choose to embrace His Lordship. It’s not that some are chosen and others are not. All are chosen in Christ. But we must choose the One who chooses us to experience God’s salvation. The point is that His plan is undeterred, and He uses everything to eventually establish it. We embrace the rule now that will one day be recognized by all. Hallelujah.

Lord, help us fully cooperate with Your plan for our lives, in Jesus’ name.
