"On Time"

On time, on time, God’s always on time.

Just remember this line, God’s always on time.

The seasons you wait,

Feel like God is late,

But things happen when timing is right,

We all have our doubt,

When the verdict’s still out,

And we see more darkness than light.

Those low moments are real,

When desperate you feel,

And you wonder if God will come through,

But you look back and see,

His grace strong and free,

He has shown you just what He can do.

On time, on time, God’s always on time,

Just remember this line, God’s always on time.

Sometime what you prayed,

God sent and okayed,

And sometimes His answer is no,

You might hear not yet,

Something better you’ll get,

But harder when He seems to be slow.

The victory they say,

Is faith all the way,

Gets stronger when tested by fire,

Like a muscle you use,

That then lights the fuse,

And you rise up with godly desire.

On time, on time, God’s always on time,

Just remember this line, God is always on time.

Patience goes on,

When the waiting is long,

And refuses to worry or fear,

It’s the far view we take,

And don’t make the mistake,

Of forgetting the Good Lord is near.

The last latter rain,

Will water your gain,

To bring forth the harvest you seek,

Wait for it, you’ll see,

All the Lord meant to be,

God gives the whole earth to the meek.

On time, on time, God is always on time,

Just remember this line, God is always on time.

‘For God says, ‘At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.’ Indeed, the right time is now. Today is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2, NLT)

God specializes in doing everything at exactly the right moment. He is never early or late, never gets off schedule and always faithfully administers grace when it is needed the most. Unlike us, His consistency is trustworthy without any exceptions. It’s interesting then that in this verse He speaks of a past moment when He heard us and saved us, and then says now is the day of salvation. So salvation is both a past experience and a constant, present reality. God is always on time.

Lord, help us to trust in Your timing, in Jesus’ name.
