"Out Loud"
You often hear folks say it,
I’m sure that they mean well,
I just live my witness,
And I don’t have to tell,
The people about Jesus,
I show ‘em don’t you see,
Rather watch you live a sermon,
Than preach it verbally.
Actions can speak louder,
If words are not sincere,
And we all know the hypocrites,
Who talk but don’t walk near,
To how the Lord is leading,
And we shouldn’t be that way,
But God’s Word is very clear,
It matters what we say.
And our faith is oral,
It’s lived so we can speak,
We walk it and we talk it,
To help the ones who seek.
Life or death are in the mouth,
The hearts abundance flows,
And if your heart is right with God,
Your tongue makes sure it shows.
Believe the Lord is risen,
Deep within your heart,
Then confess that Christ is Lord,
The Book says that’s our part.
All redeemed should say so,
If you’re saved don’t make ‘em guess,
But tell what Jesus did for you,
And help them hear God’s yes.
Faith, it comes from hearing,
The word of Christ it’s true,
And someone has to tell it,
So folks know what to do.
And if you are a Christian,
Somebody at some point,
Told you about Jesus,
The Spirit to anoint.
So tell it every chance you get,
And let God lead the way,
He’ll show you who is ready,
For the words you have to say.
Don’t argue, fuss or judge ‘em,
Just tell what Jesus did,
And it may just change a life,
And the devil to get rid.
“Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others He has redeemed you from His enemies.” (Psalm 107:2, NLT)
Let the redeemed say so! Let us boldly declare the love of God given freely through Jesus Christ! Someone you know needs to hear your story of God’s redeeming grace. In fact that’s exactly where the anointing of the Spirit is consistently given. His power accompanies the witness, and uses it to touch the heart of the person who needs it. Don’t hesitate or procrastinate, just celebrate what the Lord has done and give Him something to bless.
Lord, teach us to speak up for You, in Jesus’ name.
