"Pray"
We come because You call our name,
It’s not what we deserve,
By grace our lives are not the same,
Your love gives us the nerve,
To come and give You our requests,
And our intercessions, too,
Surrender gives us perfect rest,
Because we trust in You.
You tell us not to worry,
Let Your peace rule and reign,
Slow down the constant hurry,
And find relief from pain.
At all time at our fingertips,
Full access to the King,
To His heart from our own lips,
For every single thing.
Our faith and prayer are avenues,
For miracles He sends,
And from the Spirit take our cues,
His comfort never ends.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7, NLT)
We often underestimate how powerful our spiritual access really is! At all times and concerning every need, we are invited to make our requests to God. To boldly come when we need grace the most is God’s invitation- moment by moment. Nothing is too large or too trivial, and praying is the remedy to escape worry and experience God’s peace. Note that we don’t receive peace when the answer comes but rather when we pray about it. Let it reign!
Lord, help us to pray without ceasing, in Jesus’ name.
