"God's Men"
We can’t run past the things that last,
The heavenly treasure miss,
The pearl to find, and not be blind,
Seduced by this world’s bliss.
Remember Eve who was deceived,
While Adam stood right there,
The serpent’s lie is still his try,
So we must all beware.
The battle’s real and here’s the deal,
God’s men must stand and fight,
With armor strong we say begone,
The devil must take flight.
In Jesus’ name and for His fame,
With fierce humility,
The Spirit’s pow’r for every hour,
Leads to God’s destiny.
We now begin and to the end,
Till all to Him submit,
The last tear cried and death has died,
Till then we will not quit.
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” (Ephesians 6::13, NIV)
Every piece of armor we are told to wear is a different part of our relationship to Jesus. So the armor of God is putting on our true identity in Christ. We wear it like armor and it gives us protection in the battle against the enemy. Jesus living through us in the power of the Holy Spirit is the only real authority we have, but it is always enough to make the devil run. Stand, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, help us stand against the enemy, in Jesus’ name.
