"Men on a Mission"
Men on a mission,
Need no one’s permission,
To go out and do what they must,
‘Cause God is the Sender,
It’s best to remember,
The One who is holy and just.
Not cowed to stop speaking,
The darkness defeating,
They stand in the armor God gives,
Both humble and bold,
They get the world told,
The Good News that Jesus Christ lives.
He’s father and brother,
To help one another,
Loyal he’ll be to the end,
Fierce in the battle,
And strong in the saddle,
No doubt He is in it to win.
“The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.” (Romans 13:12, NLT)
The closer we get to the Lord’s return the more important it is for all of us to live on mission. This is especially true for men who are called to lead the way. We must put off the “dark deeds” that cause us to be complicit with the enemy, and put on the armor of light. What we are actually “wearing” is our true spiritual identity. When we embrace and put on who God says we are, we can fight successfully. We will be graced by the Lord to take the last, great harvest for Him.
Lord, help us rise up and take the harvest, in Jesus’ name.
