"Our Worth"

The mountain’s face, the desert’s space,

The waves upon the shore,

A running horse, full speed of course,

All this and so much more,

Wild flow’rs in spring, the winds that bring,

The snow to chill the earth,

The sun’s warm glow and light, you know,

It all shows what we’re worth.

Love that’s deep and safe to keep,

The laughter of a child,

Reveals to all, both great and small,

A grace that’s bold and wild.

The Book tells clear, ‘fore this was here,

He held us in His heart,

Eternally with Him to be,

And then right from the start,

At every turn eternal burn,

Creator’s passion flowed,

To draw us near and make it clear,

With every seed He sowed,

That we are His, that’s how it is,

Though some rebel and run,

Gave blood and pain, so we can gain,

What we should never shun.

To lift our curse, throw wide the purse,

That buys our liberty,

Set free the child from charges filed,

Bring home eternally.

And in the end His grace will win,

All glory to the Lamb,

So glad to know, He loves us so,

I came just as I am.

“Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.” (Ephesians 1:4, NLT)

Before God created anything, He loved us, knew us and chose us. This is a wonderful eternal truth! God’s love stretches into eternity past and future, and is not based on our performance but rather the goodness of God. Grace is God’s unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor. His love is pervasive, in that it is capable of total cleansing, healing and transformation. What God is saying to us over and over is “cooperate with My love.” Dont’ run from it, run to it! Choose the One who chose you, and you will be glad! Oh, and by the way, God did not choose some. He chose all and Jesus died for all, even those who reject Him.

Lord, help us realize our eternal worth, in Jesus’ name.
