"Praisers"

When we express our thankfulness,

It’s from our DNA,

Designed to be our identity,

With all our hearts to say,

The Lord be praised His banner raised,

At all times giving thanks,

It’s who we are, brought near from far,

The Lord God far outranks,

Those who slight the Lord of light,

Refuse to love His name,

Exchanging truth for what’s uncouth,

And seeking earthly fame.

Too late they find they’re left behind,

When we from this earth rise,

We wait in place to see His face,

And praise Him in the skies.

The lost heart healed, the change is real,

From self to glory go,

Humanity’s true destiny,

Is worship we should know.

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1, NAS)

When we praise the Lord it’s more than what we do. It’s a reflection of who we are. We are created and designed to praise the Lord forever. It’s the essence of our spiritual identity as children of God. We live for His glory and expect to live forever praising Him. Praising lesser things perverts our existence and undermines our humanity. The more we praise the more authentically human we will become. it’s a consistent lifestyle that flows deeply from a thankful heart. This is the only appropriate response to the grace we have received. The Lord be praised.

Lord, teach us how to praise You continually, in Jesus ‘name.
