'Prevail"

I can’t always put words to it,

‘Cause you know that I’ve been through it,

And when it comes down to it,

It’s only when I know,

That the Lord is leading in it,

Though the devil wants to spin it,

But the Spirit says to win it,

And it will help us grow.

So the evil sure is stronger,

Some cant’ stand it any longer,

And we could not be wronger,

If we think it goes away.

It’s the tragedy that gets us,

Just then the Spirit vets us,

And no doubt Jesus lets us,

In His anointing day.

And it’s only by His power,

That we stay strong hour by hour,

His wisdom He will shower,

On every willing heart.

Our faith will not be shaken,

Nor our victory be taken,

Our discernment will awaken,

We trust God to do His part.

We are countin’ on that promise,

Will not be a doubting Thomas,

His blessing is upon us,

God is for and not against.

When we come He’s always faithful,

And we always will be grateful,

And goes beyond what’s fateful,

And get us off the fence.

:”Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.” (James 1:2-3, NLT)

Everyone has to deal with trouble and we are told to count it joy and consider it an opportunity to grow and learn. And that’s all well and good if the trouble is not too severe. But when it gets really bad we are tempted to wonder what the heck is going on. The enemy tempts us to believe that following Jesus is just not worth it. But the truth is that the Lord i working through all our troubles to teach us perfectly what we most need to know. Reluctance is real and is all part of the journey. But don’t let anything or anybody keep you from doing God’s will.

Lord, teach us to do Your will no matter what is happening to us, in Jesus’ name.
