"Rampage"

The devil’s on a rampage,

It’s obvious to see,

But having moral outrage,

The trap he sets will be,

That anger and frustration,

Infiltrate all our thoughts,

And a state of agitation,

Will tie us up in knots.

So, yes, discern the trouble,

But respond as by the Spirit,

His portion given double,

If we listen we will hear it.

We reject the lie and speak what’s true,

And never miss a beat,

The Spirit shows us what to do,

We never will retreat.

And we are in the process,

Of the harvest that soon ends,

Showing, saying just what He’ll bless,

And going where He sends.

So never be discouraged,

With the devil’s many ploys,

But rather be encouraged,

By the Spirit-filled cowboys.

Riding branded for the Master,

For the glory of His name,

And only going faster,

By the Spirit’s holy flame.

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” (1 John 4:4, NLT).

The devil’s at work but greater is the Spirit within us! God’s victories multiply as the end grows near, even as the spirits of darkness become more frantic. The rule of Jesus extends until every enemy is conquered. Finally what we know is true will happen. The final enemies of Christ will submit, and the harvest of souls will be complete. We live in the inspiration of that moment, and respond to the ongoing fight by the Spirit’s power. He that lives within us is greater.

Lord, respond through us to every attack, in Jesus’ name.
