"Calving Time"

It’s calving time in Texas,

Day by day they hit the ground,

The first thing that we want to know,

If they’re healthy, safe and sound.

Did we get a bull or heifer,

We find out right away,

Not hard to tell the difference,

Just look under there, okay.

So it’s interesting that there are people,

Who say they cannot tell,

And binary is just a choice,

But I’m not buying what they sell.

It’s not benign confusion,

That makes an endless list,

What they call gender constructs,

But the obvious is missed.

And way back when God made us,

In His image were the words,

Male and female He created,

And the meaning wasn’t blurred.

So maybe what we’re needin’,

Is for God to make It clear,

If it’s a bull or heifer,

If we care enough to hear.

And maybe ask for wisdom,

If we feel another way,

‘Cause bottom line it matters,

What the Good Lord has to say.

It’s calving time in Texas,

And another hit the ground,

Can’t wait to see just what we got,

When the sunrise comes around.

“So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27, NLT)

Gender confusion is nothing new. Since the beginning of time human beings have handled gender in pervese, ungodly ways. The variations on the old, immoral theme are endless. The notion that one can choose their gender is just the contemporary iteration of departing from what God says is true. Male and female is a reflection of the magnificent image of God. it’s best not to disagree or find alternatives to His clearly mandated plan. We offer love to all, but dare not compromise the truth.

Lord, cast out our gender confusion, in Jesus’ name.
