"They Didn't See"

They didn’t see ‘cause they were blind,

And I’m sure you’ve seen this kind,

No matter that they’re in a bind,

They will not turn to Him.

The Bible says the devil’s lie,

Deceives their mind and steals their try,

And they reject the Lord on high,

And it’s all up to them.

We ask the Lord to send His light,

Deliver from their sinful blight,

Help turn them from wrong to right,

Salvation for to bring.

They’re closer than we think or feel,

Show them, Lord, that You are real,

Spirit, come, and seal the deal,

And clear up everything.

And then we all will celebrate,

Because they ran through Jesus’ gate,

They did not procrastinate,

And praise God for His grace.

Now brothers, sisters, one and all,

They listen for the Spirit’s call,

Rejoicing now they have a ball,

And running strong the race.

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4, NAS)

In the process of sharing Christ with others we will invariably run into those who simply do not believe. They have either an agnostic or atheist approach and nothing we say seems to faze them. That’s when we need to realize that there is a real spiritual battle going on and our adversary, the devil, has actually blinded some people. They cannot see the truth because their understanding is darkened. But we can pray for them, love them, show them, and speak truth to them, while resisting the god of this world in their behalf. God can turn them and change their lives.

Lord, help us not give us when people are spiritually blind, in Jesus’ name.
