"Valentine"
I’ll not forget the way I felt,
When she first said hello,
Never thought the cards were dealt,
So perfectly you know,
And God was working from the start,
And I’m a thankful man,
That she was sent into my life,
No doubt it was His plan.
And ever sine then I am blessed,
To share with her my life,
God’s greatest gift beside Himself,
And for me the perfect wife.
A Texas beauty was the one,
He had prepared for me,
And now in Texas deepest heart,
Is where we’re meant to be.
We work and play and worship,
Building something that will last,
And all that ever happened,
Shows God will use your past,
To build an awesome future,
With a treasure up above,
It’s all about His purpose,
And based upon His love.
“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in His love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” (1 John 4:16, NLT)
People who know the love story between Stacey and me know it was the Lord that brought us together. We kiddingly say, “Some people date in order to get married. We got married in order to date!” It was five years ago that we ran off to the Working Ranch Cowboy Finals Rodeo in Amarillo to get married. We will always be thankful for our good friend, Jeff Gore, who married us, and for the encouragement of his lovely wife, Donna. But our lifw is only meaningful in light of God’s love. In fact without it we would never have even found each other. Our lives truly are about the God who is love and in whom we have put our trust. Thank You, Jesus.
Lord, help us to share Your love, in Jesus’ name.
