"What More?"
Is there more that I can say,
Is there more that I can do,
To let you know this is the day,
To receive from God what’s true.
I’ve loved you and I’ve often prayed,
For God to touch your heart,
I’ve lingered on my knees, I stayed,
So you would do your part.
To simply give your yes to Him,
Who gives His yes to you,
Believe, receive, become His kin,
And pardoned through and through.
No one can do it in your place,
He knocks at your heart’s door,
It’s up to you to seek His face,
You know what He’s come for.
Love and peace- eternal life,
Christ died to make it so,
Deliver from chaos and strife,
And all so you can know,
The Spirit’s witness deep within,
Your adoption is complete,
Forgiveness for our every sin,
Abiding peace so sweet.
So why not pray and let Him in,
The answer to my prayer,
No doubt now is the best time when,
This moment’s past compare.
“So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, ‘Come back to God!’” (2 Corinthians 5:20, NLT)
We represent Christ to everyone around us, and God uses us as a catalyst to both show and speak the Good News. He appeals through us, and it’s our job to cooperate. We are not in charge of the results, so we have to trust the Lord to do His work in people’s lives. Sometimes we wonder why it’s taking so long for them to come around, or if they ever will! But, again, we must keep on praying and put it all in the Lord’s hands. Sometimes we’ll see it but in some cases we’re planting seeds for a harvest we’ll never see until we get to heaven. In any case, we keep on praying, showing, and sharing, in Jesus’ name.
Lord, make Your appeal through us, in Jesus’ name.
